Before you can purchase any 3rd party tool, you should try few easy manual tricks.
  • Run a script on Windows PowerShell that will help you mount the VHD file in the root folder, and then you can run a CHKDSK on it.
  • Create a new Virtual Machine, then add the corrupt Virtual disk file to it. Now compact it.

Also, you can use the
